HISTORY/DESCRIPTION
On sale with Bruce Greetham Classic Benz is a very usable W113 280 SL Pagoda. Started its life in sunny America before being shipped to the UK in 2013 to its first UK owner. The 2nd owner has owned the Pagoda since 2016, where he has lavished many pounds ensuring this SL runs and drives the way it should. This has been evidenced by engine tuning, underbody bushes, belts, fluids, and servicing carried out every two years alongside regular use. It changes Gear on the button with seamless changes and an engine that is super sweet off the key, hot, warm, and cold starts.

The engineer who has been looking after the SL was an ex-Mercedes engineer from Collidale, so he was used to the nature of these Pagodas. The underbody has never been welded and still wears its factory panels. The paint does display a few age-related marks of memories that do not in any way take away that this is a Pagoda that can be used any day of the week and driven with confidence, which many lack.

All the interior lights work, including the heater slider illumination and under dash interior light. It was painted in 2011/12 in the US in its original colour, which has held up very well in the warm climate.

The hardtop is safely stored away and has never been used since its ownership in the UK. It sits in dry, covered storage. The soft top is all functional and closes up and down without any dramas, so a very practical car. During the test drive, it started without any hesitation and maintained temperature in London traffic.

WHY BUY.
This is a fabulous driving Pagoda that is a go anywhere, anytime, and driven with pure confidence. The recent owner has ensured this was made this way to use not only for his work commute in London, but also around the Cotswolds. The mechanics are ready to go, a little fettling if required to bring to show field standard, but if it were me, I would jump in and go and make some memories with it. it works, looks good, and does what it says on the tin.
