HISTORY:

On sale at Bruce Greetham Classic Benz, we have this very useable, matching number, right-hand-drive 280 SL ‘Pagoda’.

The car was sympathetically restored in Spain, with new floor pans and central boot floor.

It was fully repainted, with a colour change from its original Red Metallic (271) to Midnight Blue (904).

It still has its original engine which was rebuilt in 2007 at a cost of over £12k.

There is an extensive file of bills documenting the thousands of pounds of work carried out.

This ‘Pagoda’ drives well, changes gear when asked and steers precisely. It starts on the key without any hesitation, idles well and has good oil pressure.

The interior condition is good, with everything working as it should.
