1989 MERCEDES-BENZ R107 300SL Automatic

HISTORY
On sale with Bruce Greetham Classic Benz is a very usable R107 300 SL that has undergone a very good restoration, including a body repaint, metal fabrication to all key areas, and a complete new retrim of leather and carpets.

The current owner has enjoyed this car on many occasions as a daily driver, hence the mileage.

It starts and drives on the button: It is a 300SL which can be enjoyed as it is.

It is a very late model on a G plate and a good specification.

The owner has concentrated on the structure of the car and the paint. The air conditioning will require some attention, as will the cruise control. As factory-fitted components, they can be repaired if desired.

The interior leather is as new, as are the fluffy carpets which also extend to the boot compartment.

The soft top presents as original, with factory markings to the windows, but with one small split to the off-side, which does not yet warrant a replacement in my eyes.

The underbody is in lovely condition, with no corrosion: this was all attended to during the body restoration.

The hardtop fits like a glove and matches the car, so all is complete.

The history file has many receipts for work undertaken. Spare keys and roof tools are present.

If you are looking for an entry point into late model R107s, this 300 SL in the very best colour combination with restoration work and high specification has to be considered.
