1989 Mercedes-Benz R107 300SL G Plate

This R107 300 SL was one of the very last from production 28.8.1989. Those who know these cars at this mileage will know it still owns its original smell from new. This is a very genuine original 300 SL and from my knowledge even at such low mileage it hasn't been near the paintshop, being very picky just a few small stone chips to show it has been used and enjoyed. The blue leather interior is like it was fitted yesterday alongside a very well optioned cabin of heated seats, rears seats with the extra gauge for Outside temperature on those hot days, cruise control for those long hauls. The blue soft top has spent most of its life playing hide and seek which shows its Three-pointed star logos to each section of the windows, as crisp as the day it was fitted.  

The hardtop is stored away safely on a stand with the correct cover without a mark on the paint and the chromes like new with no damage. The book pack, spare keys including master key, cruise control label, stamped service book, manual and dealer information all present.

In January of 2023 John Haynes was commissioned to a full suspension overall with over £12,000 invested covering suspension mounts, bushes, water pump, alongside much more, all bills and receipts display all work carried out.

It lived a life in Glasgow as part of a collection before finding its way to the south coast Brighton where it changed hands with brother-in-law to the current owner which demonstrates five previous owners. It has been test driven by myself at the owner's house alongside a full inspection including the bulkhead section.

In my opinion this is a very honest and desirable 300 SL with a very low speedo and glowing orange needles with crisp decals to the controls and very soft original leather.
